Reviewing Naot Andes

I had a pair of Andes sandals and they lasted for 12 years. They were comfortable and I wore them most every day. Replaced the velcro after 8 years and the sole cracked after 9 across the ball of my foot. Kept wearing them because they still held together.

Without a doubt the most comfortable footware I've ever encoutered. However, like the reviewer from CO, the soles cracked, just behind the ball, after approximately nine months of wear. They were expensive, so I expect more than just comfort.

These seemed like the perfect replacement for an older style that I loved and could no longer find. And there were for about the first 6 months. Then the sole of both sandals split just behind the ball of the foot. Glued them back together, then they split again in a slightly different line, and by then the foot bed was split at the same location. It seems like the removable foot bed and rubber tub sole just isn't as resilient for as the old solid cork and eva for every day use. The were great while they lasted, but they are way too expensive for something that only lasts 6 months.

This might be a great sandal to own, IF I could find a way to own a pair. The website offers NO purchase information. No prices, no sales locations, no hope for finding other styles here. Now I understand why the other major sandal manufacturer is growing so fast.

These lasted me 4 years, and were amazingly comfortable right up until the end. I just replaced them with some new Naots. Couldn't be happier.

I've had these for 3 years and they are by far THE most comfortable sandal I have ever owned from the moment I bought them. It is like slipping your foot into buckskin the leather is so enjoyable and the footbed and soles are designed for walking as well as looking great.

This is the best pair of sandals I ever owned. Unfortunately the NAOT dealer around here closed and NAOT won't tell me where I can buy another pair.

For some years I’ve looked for a comfortable sandal that would work for me. My problem is nerve damage in one foot that makes all but a few shoes quite painful to wear. I came across the Naot Andes during an internet search. I was impressed by its claims to support my feet precisely at the places and in the ways I needed. I ordered a pair of Andes. They seemed just right except they pinched the forefoot of my bad foot. The model isn’t offered in widths, so I ordered the next larger size. Bingo! -- they feel wonderful. I couldn’t be more pleased.
