I am like many others offering comments. I now own 2 pairs of this shoe and love the fit and comfort of both of them, but both have developed the embarrassing squeak. I have tried powder and every other thing that my helpful shoe salesman has asked me to. I have back problems and these shoes offer me all day comfort with no back pain, so I am very disappointed with the squeak. I work in a quiet office setting and everyone comments on my noisy shoes. I hope that the NAOT company is not ignoring this problem & is doing something to try to fix it, I emailed them several months ago, but did not receive a reponse other than acknowledgement that they received my email. I want to buy another pair but am afraid to & probably won't without knowing something has been done differently in the engineering of the shoe.

These shoes are awesome! After having tried on lots of shoes in my community and finding nothing comfortable, I finally went to the store that carried these. When I slipped into these shoes, I knew immediately they were the ones. I work in a hospital and am on my feet constantly through the day. With these shoes, my feet and legs no longer ache every night. Instead, I still feel energized and ready to enjoy my evening. This was my first Naot purchase but will definitely not be my last. The price is worth every penny! Also, my feet tend to run a bit narrow, and I usually have trouble with my heels slipping, but the adjustable strap of the Mary Jane style worked well for me, and with the addition of a heel harness to the inside of the shoe, I'm good to go.

Love this shoe! To stop the squeak in any shoe with an insole, just put some talcum powder under the insole.

I love these shoes, but like another reviewer, mine have developed a very annoying squeak when I walk. And it is not the insole, when I remove the insole and walk around the shoes still squeak. Someone even made a comment about my squeaky shoes...not something I want to be remembered for.

the most comfortable shoes I've owned. I can't seem to find any other shoes that fit my feet like these and now I just can't buy any other shoe. (I have wide feet). I have now purchased three of these (similar styles). HOWEVER... after owning them a short while, each pair has developed a most annoying (and embarrassing) squeak. It seems to be in the sole, maybe air getting trapped between the rubber grip and the sole.

I have had problems with my foot for the past year and have been wearing inserts made for me by my doctor. I tried this shoe and it was comfortable from the moment I put it on and can wear it all day without my inserts! I will be buying more Naots!

I have a narrow foot and these were wonderful right out of the box. The only thing I did have to do was put one of those no-slip heel things so the heel didn't slip up and down on me -- that made my 40's perfect! the footbed feel so nice - wish you had more colors out there -- red would be nice or peacock or that quartz color. I tried my first naot sandal this summer and now I own about 15 pairs -- a collection of sandals, boots and shoes. I've had so many problems with my feet and unable to find any cute stylish shoes or sandals my whole life - so glad I got introduced to these!

i agree with roberta. i wore them out of the box the first day, ALL DAY. i thought they ran a little large, but always order two pairs, so kept the size that fit. the velcro strap is great for adjusting later in the day when the feet start to swell. i'll be ordering more styles!

I just bought these, and they are the ultimate in comfort--possibly even better than Matai (which I own two pairs of). The size 40 is perfect for me. More colors are needed please~

After experiencing two naviculear stress factures it was time to give up the high heel. I still needed style and comfort with a lower heel. This style works for me. I can walk again without pain and minimal chance of refracture. Please offer more styles and a little more length. I am now a 11.5-12. Odd but somehow it happened to the good foot while non-wieght bearing on the bad foot. I barely squeezed into the 42. Thanks.

I have never put on shoes straight from the box and had them feel as if they were made for my feet before! There is plenty of arch support, a lift before the ball and nice toe well. I have neuromas, bunions, and planar fasciaitis, yet the Coast relieves them all. The diagonal strap which velcroes to the outside cradles the top of the foot and doesn't hit my bone spurs! The sole is shaped to provide an easy walking stride. The leather is very fine and is worth upkeep if you want to keep them looking good. The fit is perfect for a size 39--width and length. I have them in both colors and am waiting for Naot to come out with more!
